As someone who has been working from home over the past year, I agree with the basic - assumption with some caveats.

Work at home (for one is self or employer), comes with great benefits, provided one does so correctly (and form healthy). Just wanted to share some ideas of my experience.

1. Eat healthy! Heads are often skeptical of people who work from home, because they think it will be confusing people. As a result, people sometimes work themselves to fatigue to demonstrate that it will still add value.

When this happens, it is tempting to order delivery or withdraw much often. And this is expensive and (usually) bad for your health. It is sometimes tempting to open a beer because, well, you. (Although this is perhaps more true for single men.) I made sure I time to cook - that I love cooking - and set aside a few hours to make enough of a great meal for a week. Then I just microwave it during the working day!

2 Manage your time very, very wisely. There is a great movie that comes on TV? Record it? Someone calls with Games tickets? Wait for a night game. The first time you make a bad decision, it is easier to repeat.

Rarely has a boss looking over your shoulder (even if he is far from an email or instant messaging). Therefore properly segmenting your day. First half-hour, email. Less than an hour, completing assignments yesterday. Half-hour next, contact the head to confirm what needs to be done and when. Leave Facebook and Twitter only - unless is part of his work.

My friends and I who work from home, these are common problems we've found. Thought readers may like you ideas! If a person does not follow these two ideas (among others), I doubt that he is happy.
