You have to be careful when paying for a work at home opportunity. There are a lot of scams out there. The legitimate are generally when you are paying for a service or a product. A payment of a product can be much information that can be used to start a business or Web site. I do not believe those who say "Get rich quickly". Don't get me wrong there are people who became internet millionaires overnight however they are producing the product. Try to stay away from them unless you know that they are legitimate. I have a couple listed on my blog that they are not free, but they are legitimate, tested by me.
One thing I recommend is to work with some of my free on my blog here opportunities. Once you make money with these opportunities you can use part of the money to move forward and some of the valuable products that are not free to purchase if you decide to try it. That's how I began. I used the money I received free opportunities to purchase products that I purchased in the past, OK you don't have to do so but helps if you are short of cash. I also used blog donations to test products I listed on my blog for my readers. Blog donations go to product testing, research, charity and of course, I get to get a cup of coffee from it:
